One Born Every Minute
Tuesday, December 13th, 2011My brother bought his computer from a department store in the high street, and I am sure that he might have got it for half the price on the internet. It’s a terrific computer, mind you: a Sony Vaio VPC.
But he didn’t bother to look at the prices at other places before he purchased it, and that’s the reason that he was obliged to shell out so much money.
I’ve been asking for a more modern lap-top for Xmas. The current one is a touch knackered now, and when you do not keep it plugged in continuously it tends to switch itself off. The laptop I hope for is the HP Pavilion g6, because that would be perfect for my purposes. It is a fairly pricey item to get for Christmas, but I believe my father and uncle will pool their money to buy it.
My dad loves his computer. He got it last summer to replace the old box computer that lived on his desk. He has a Toshiba Satellite C660, and he takes it along all over the place. He insists that it has completely changed the way he works, because now he can work on the train, or even at the pub! Unquestionably a big change compared to his younger years, and he had to utilize a weighty typewriter.
The lap-top that my aunt bought is her third laptop in 2 years. She has always been clumsy, and she has a tendency to misplace stuff.
I recall the 1st time she bought a smartphone, she dropped it into a drain. And her laptop was just left in a taxi, and has not been seen since. I hope she is less careless with her Toshiba Satellite Pro, although I must admit I’m guessing that it won’t be too much time til she will do something daft and has to purchase another laptop.
My friend William got a new laptop.
He got it at low cost from a web-site on the net, and he’s pretty pleased with that. It’s a Compaq presario CQ, and he utilizes it predominantly for his uni coursework.
You have to own a computer now in order to write up essays, because there are never enough in the library.
